Prayer Requests

At Holy Transfiguration, we offer prayers for both the living and the departed through traditional Orthodox services.

A Moleben (“paraklesis” in Greek) is an intercessory prayer service conducted by a priest, asking our Savior, the Mother of God, or one of the Saints for assistance in a particular need - such as illness, family struggles, employment, or travel. Molebens may be offered for anyone, Orthodox or non-Orthodox alike.

A Pannikhida is a prayer service offered for the repose of a departed Orthodox Christian. Only Orthodox Christians may be commemorated by name at a Pannikhida. However, for non-Orthodox loved ones who have fallen asleep in the Lord, you may request an Akathist for the Departed, a series of hymns sung for the repose of any departed soul. This service will be prayed privately by our priest.

If you select Private Prayer, our priest will be informed of your request and will remember you or your loved one in prayer privately before the Lord.

We invite you to submit your prayer request below. Every name and intention will be treated with reverence and confidentiality.
